Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Measuring the position and velocity of moving targets is an important requirement for drone video analysis. In this paper, a moving target localization and velocity estimation algorithm based on least square optimization of UAV multi-view observation images is proposed: the video and corresponding pose parameters obtained by the airborne optoelectronic system are used to establish a line-of-sight model at multiple observation times, it is unified to the WGS-84 coordinate system by coordinate transformation, the position and velocity of the moving target are estimated based on the least squares algorithm. This algorithm does not require laser ranging information between the …

The global branch is used to learn overall appearance information of the vehicle, while the local branch captures differential details of the vehicle. Based on attention mechanism, a context feature selection module (CFSM) is proposed to effectively separate vehicle information from complex background information, and a detail feature …

Vehicle Routing Problem With Drones Considering Zoned Distribution Of Epidemic Prevention Materials, Huawei Ma, Boying Yan
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To address the shortcomings of current contactless delivery methods in the collaborative distribution of epidemic prevention supplies, we introduce a specialized model called the vehicle routing problem with drones considering zoned distribution (VRPD-ZD). In order to solve the problem, a linear programming model is established with the shortest delivery time as the optimization objective, and a two-stage heuristic algorithm is proposed. The initial solution is generated by greedy algorithm in the first stage. In the second stage, we develop a Tabu search algorithm with genetic algorithm (TSGA) hybrid. This enhanced algorithm integrates a taboo list and employs advanced chromosome …

Research On Modeling And Simulation Of Collective Mechanical Props Performance Behavior, Lian He, Kexiang Huang, Dapeng Yan, Ruida Tang, Gangyi Ding
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: In stage performances, the increasing number of mechanical props poses significant challenges to their control and design. Each creative modification requires a complete rehearsal, resulting in low efficiency and sensitivity to creative changes. To address these issues, a model for the collective performance behavior of mechanical props is proposed. It utilizes centroid growth and 3D linear interpolation to generate spatial states and optimizes them in the temporal dimension using gradient descent. Through the construction of 3D simulation experiments, the planning and optimization of collective mechanical prop performance behavior in the model are analyzed. Similarity evaluation is used to compare …

Secondly, the affine transformation of gait parameters and the finite state machine are introduced to establish the switching sequence, which realizes the timely gait switching. The speed-gait mapping is designed based on the cost of transport (CoT) and the stability …

Multi-Uav Deployment And Collaborative Offloading For Large-Scale Iot Systems, Zhiqin Huang, Tianying Lu, Zheyi Chen
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: In large-scale internet-of-things (IoT) systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) enabled mobile edge computing (MEC) can alleviate the performance constraints on end IoT devices. However, due to the uneven distribution of IoT devices and inefficient problem-solving, how to efficiently perform computation offloading in large-scale IoT systems is a major challenge. Existing solutions generally cannot fit into dynamic multi-UAV scenarios, causing inefficient resource utilization and excessive response delay. To address these important challenges, this paper proposes a novel multi-UAV deployment and collaborative offloading (MUCO) method for large-scale IoT systems. A UAV deployment scheme based on constrained K-Means clustering is designed to …

Research On Path Planning Method For Autonomous Underwater Vehicles Based On Improved Informed Rrt, Bensheng Qi, Yan Li, Hongxia Miao, Jialin Chen, Chenglin Li
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: In response to the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) path planning problem in complex underwater environments, an improved path planning algorithm based on Informed rapidly-exploring random trees (RRT) is proposed in this study. A target-biased sampling strategy and a target-biased extension strategy are employed to address the issue of lack of goal orientation in the sampling process, ensuring that target nodes become sampling points during random sampling. During path points extension, non-target sampling points are guided in the direction of the target point, thereby enhancing the algorithm's ability to search for the target during random sampling and extension processes. A …

This paper demonstrates that firms receiving above-industry-average support in their “say-on-pay” (SoP) votes engage in more M&A transactions in the subsequent year. Our empirical findings suggest that high levels of SoP voting support may boost managerial confidence, thereby stimulating increased pursuit of acquisitions. Moreover, we observe that managers garnering higher SoP vote support are more likely to secure shareholders' backing in M&A votes, receive higher compensation in successful deals, and face a reduced likelihood of forced turnover following unsuccessful deals. Additionally, we find that both short-term and long-term M&A performance significantly improves in deals announced by managers receiving higher SoP …

Collaborative filtering is a common aspect recently used in e-commerce to increase sales and overcome information overload. One significant limitation in collaborative filtering is data sparseness. Several studies have proposed alleviating this issue by utilizing extra information such as users’ reviews. However, the researchers have been concerned with using entire reviews irrespective of the users’ ratings. This requires extra processing time and might perplex the recommendation decision. In this study, after analyzing the users’ ratings and reviews, it was noted that when the rating values are 4 or 5, most of the reviews accompanying these ratings are positive. Otherwise, when …

Nuclear receptor binding set domain protein 2 (NSD2) plays a key role in chromatin regulation and is associated with different cancers and other developmental problems. Berries are rich in major secondary metabolites with anticancer properties. Here, we virtually screened 145 berry phytochemicals as putative NSD2 inhibitors via structure-based virtual screening, molecular docking, MD simulations, and DFT and ADMET analyses. Among them, α-carotene had the maximum docking score of -9.9 kcal/mol, followed by sulfuretin and β-amyrin. MD simulation analysis revealed that the dynamic behavior of the ligand‒NSD2 complexes was within the limit, indicating no significant changes in the structural integrity of …

The prevalent catalog-based Landslide Susceptibility Modelling (LSM) operates under the assumption that future landslide occurrences mirror past and current patterns. Due to growing urban expansion and climate change, certain landslides follow new patterns of occurrence, disrupting the foundational assumption of catalog-based LSM and leading to constraints in the effectiveness of traditional susceptibility maps. Here, to address this problem, we proposed a method to produce more accurate and dynamic landslide susceptibility maps by coupling advanced Ensemble Machine Learning (EML) and Multi-Temporal Interferometric SAR (MT-InSAR). The Wanzhou District in Three Gorges Reservoir area of China is considered as the test site. The …

Improving Rupture Status Prediction For Intracranial Aneurysms Using Wall Shear Stress Informatics, Jingfeng Jiang, Mostafa Rezaeitaleshmahalleh, Jinshan Tang, Joseph Gemmette, Aditya Pandey
Michigan Tech Publications
BACKGROUND: Wall shear stress (WSS) plays a crucial role in the natural history of intracranial aneurysms (IA). However, spatial variations among WSS have rarely been utilized to correlate with IAs' natural history. This study aims to establish the feasibility of using spatial patterns of WSS data to predict IAs' rupture status (i.e., ruptured versus unruptured). METHODS: "Patient-specific" computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations were performed for 112 IAs; each IA's rupture status was known from medical records. Recall that CFD-simulated hemodynamics data (wall shear stress and its derivatives) are located on unstructured meshes. Hence, we mapped WSS data from an unstructured …
