1. Advances in datalogging technologies have provided a way to monitor the movement of individual animals at unprecedented spatial and temporal scales, both large and small. When used in conjunction with social network analyses, these data can provide insight into fine scale associative behaviors. The variety of technologies demand continuous progress in workflows to translate data streams from automated systems to social networks, based on biologically relevant metrics.

Recent publications report that adults known as Generation Z, between the ages of 18 to 23, increasingly rely upon social media to gain knowledge of social issues. Given social media's embeddedness in Generation Z's life, this study sought to understand if or how social media has influenced and possibly empowered Generation Z to act on social issues, particularly global climate change. May 1972, 4,000 garment workers at Farah Manufacturing Company in El Paso went out on strike for the right to be represented by a union. The strike against Farah was the first major social movement in the El Paso area in modern times. Over 80% of the striking workers were Latina. The female employees at Farah were at the forefront of the Chicana feminist movement. The labor battle at Farah proves the organic link between Chicana feminism and class struggle. United States publicly-funded higher education systems are experiencing increasing pressures. In response, higher education institutions have broadened their appeal to students less likely to attend college as part of their fiscal strategies. This growing student population consists of first-generation students and individuals from marginalized backgrounds who often enter college underprepared, and higher education must retain these emerging-majority students to ensure fiscal stability. Guided by Communication Accommodation Theory (CAT) and Communication Theory of Identity (CTI), the purpose of this study was to investigate how families communicatively negotiate religious differences and how that negotiation is related to parent-child relational solidarity. Specifically, we examined the direct effects of (non)accommodative communication on relational solidarity and indirect effects via identity gaps. Using a cross-sectional survey from emerging adult college students (N = 234), we found nonaccommodative communication is indirectly related to lower relational solidarity through increased identity gaps. การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบการออมเงิน การเปิดรับข่าวสารทางการเงิน ความรู้ ทัศนคติ และพฤติกรรมการออมเพื่อการเกษียณของแรงงานนอกระบบ และศึกษาความแตกต่างระหว่างลักษณะประชากรกับการเปิดรับข่าวสารทางการเงิน ความรู้ ทัศนคติ และพฤติกรรมการออมเพื่อการเกษียณ รวมถึงศึกษาอิทธิพลของการเปิดรับข่าวสารทางการเงิน ความรู้ ทัศนคติ ต่อพฤติกรรมการออมเพื่อการเกษียณ ด้วยระเบียบวิธีเชิงปริมาณโดยการใช้แบบสอบถามในการเก็บข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างแรงงานนอกระบบจำนวน 400 คน ที่มีอายุ 18 ปีขึ้นไป แต่ไม่เกิน 60 ปี ทั้งเพศชายและเพศหญิง ที่อยู่อาศัย/ทำงานในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร ประเทศไทย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างแรงงานนอกระบบส่วนใหญ่มีการเปิดรับข่าวสารทางการเงินอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โดยเปิดรับผ่านสื่อออนไลน์ ในช่วงเวลา 18.01 – 21.00 น. และมีเวลาโดยเฉลี่ยในการเปิดรับข้อมูล 1 – 2 ชั่วโมงมากที่สุด มีความรู้ทางการเงินอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โดยมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 5 คะแนน ซึ่งมีความรู้ด้าน “การกระจายความเสี่ยง” มากที่สุด และมีความรู้ในด้าน “อัตราดอกเบี้ย” และ “การคำนวณดอกเบี้ยเงินฝากทบต้น” น้อยที่สุด ส่วนทัศนคติทางการเงินอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โดยมีทัศนคติในเรื่อง “การออมทรัพย์เป็นการสร้างความมั่นคงให้ตนเองและ/หรือครอบครัวอย่างหนึ่ง” ระดับมากที่สุด และมีพฤติกรรมการออมเพื่อการเกษียณอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โดยมีพฤติกรรมใน “การวางแผนที่จะชำระหนี้สินให้หมดก่อนที่จะเกษียณอายุ” มากที่สุด ผลการทดสอบสมมติฐานพบว่า แรงงานนนอกระบบที่มีเพศแตกต่างกัน มีการเปิดรับข่าวสารทางการเงิน ความรู้ ทัศนคติ และพฤติกรรมการออมเพื่อการเกษียณไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ในทางกลับกัน แรงงานนนอกระบบที่มีระดับการศึกษา และรายได้ส่วนบุคคลโดยเฉลี่ยต่อเดือนที่แตกต่างกัน มีการเปิดรับข่าวสาร ความรู้ และทัศนคติทางการเงิน รวมถึงพฤติกรรมการออมเพื่อการเกษียณ แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ในด้านของอิทธิพลของตัวแปร พบว่า ตัวแปรอิสระทั้ง 3 ตัวแปร ได้แก่ การเปิดรับข่าวสารทางการเงิน ความรู้ทางการเงิน และทัศนคติทางการเงิน ล้วนสามารถอธิบายพฤติกรรมการออมเพื่อการเกษียณของกลุ่มตัวอย่างได้ร้อยละ 28 ในทิศทางเดียวกัน โดยตัวแปรอิสระที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงพฤติกรรมการออมเพื่อการเกษียณได้ดีที่สุด คือ การเปิดรับข่าวสารทางการเงิน รองลงมาได้แก่ ทัศนคติทางการเงิน และความรู้ทางการเงิน ตามลำดับ

งานวิจัยเรื่อง “ทัศนคติของผู้บริโภคที่มีต่อเนื้อหาบนเฟซบุ๊กแฟนเพจกับการตัดสินใจซื้อสินค้าในธุรกิจอีคอมเมิร์ซในช่วงการระบาดของไวรัส Covid-19” เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ เครื่องมือที่ใช้คือแบบสอบถามออนไลน์ โดยเลือกเก็บข้อมูลเฉพาะกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เป็นผู้ติดตามเฟซบุ๊กแฟนเพจที่เป็นทางการของลาซาด้า ประเทศไทยซึ่งเป็นผู้นำแพลตฟอร์มอีคอมเมิรซ์ในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Lazada.co.th, 2563) จำนวน 216 คน ในช่วงเดือนตุลาคมถึงเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2563 ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนใหญ่ (ร้อยละ 53) เป็นเพศหญิง สถานภาพโสด มีช่วงอายุระหว่าง 26-30 ปี ระดับการศึกษาปริญญาตรี ประกอบอาชีพรับราชการ พนักงานรัฐวิสาหกิจ และมีรายได้เฉลี่ยต่อเดือนประมาณ 15,000 - 25,000 บาท ทัศนคติที่มีต่อเนื้อหาสาร และการจัดการภาวะวิกฤตของลาซาด้า ประเทศไทยบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์บนเฟซบุ๊กแฟนเพจที่เป็นทางการของลาซาด้าในเชิงบวกทั้งหมด ในด้านของการออกแบบสาร กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีทัศนคติในเชิงบวก กล่าวคือเนื้อหาที่นำเสนอในเฟซบุ๊กแฟนเพจนั้นมีภาพประกอบสวยงาม สะดุดตา ชวนมอง มีเอกลักษณ์และความเป็นต้นฉบับของตนเอง เป็นเชิงบวกเช่นกัน ทำให้เกิดความต้องการที่จะซื้อสินค้าออนไลน์ได้ สำหรับการตัดสินใจซื้อพบว่า มีการแนะนำให้ผู้อื่นซื้อสินค้าออนไลน์จากลาซาด้ามากที่สุด รองลงมาคือมักจะหาข้อมูลสินค้าจากแหล่งข้อมูลอื่นๆก่อนการซื้อทุกครั้ง และพบว่าในอนาคตมีแนวโน้มที่จะซื้อสินค้าจากลาซาด้า จากการทดสอบสมมติฐานพบว่า ทัศนคติของผู้บริโภคต่อเนื้อหาบนเฟซบุ๊กมีความสัมพันธ์กับการตัดสินใจซื้อสินค้าจากธุรกิจอีคอมเมิร์ซในช่วงการระบาดของไวรัส Covid-19 เชิงบวกในระดับสูง เพราะฉะนั้น ข้อแนะนำเพิ่มเติมในการทำเนื้อหาบนเฟซบุ๊กแฟนเพจถ้าหากกลุ่มเป้าหมายเป็นผู้หญิงตามลักษณะประชากรที่กล่าวมาข้างต้น ควรเน้นการทำเนื้อหาที่มีความแปลกใหม่ ใกล้เคียงกับความเป็นจริงหรือสถานการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น สามารถนำมาประยุกต์ใช้ได้จริง ภาพประกอบสวยงาม มีเอกลักษณ์ และมีความเป็นต้นฉบับของตนเอง เนื้อหาควรมีส่วนช่วยให้ระลึกถึงสินค้าและบริการที่จำเป็นในช่วงนั้นได้อย่างง่ายดาย อีกทั้งหากเกิดภาวะวิกฤตอย่างเช่นโรคระบาด ต้องสื่อสารด้วยความรวดเร็ว ทันต่อเหตุการณ์ และนำเสนอเนื้อหาที่เป็นประโยชน์และสร้างคุณค่าต่อกลุ่มเป้าหมายอีกด้วย

Undergraduate and graduate students were enrolled in an upper-division online experiential learning course organized as a technology company start up at a public university in the US. Students participated in an academic department’s social media team, publishing a weekly newsletter and producing and curating content for multiple social media outlets designed for public and university audiences, a website for the department’s students, and a career portal. This research examines the relationship between personality traits and consumer behavior in purchasing fashion apparel on electronic commerce platforms. An online questionnaire was developed to survey 214 male and female respondents, aged between 18 and 35 years, living in Bangkok with prior experience of purchasing fashion apparel through an electronic commerce platform within the last three months. The research findings revealed that the most dominant trait among the respondents is Agreeableness, followed by Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, and Neuroticism, respectively. การคุกคามทางเพศถือเป็นพฤติกรรมที่ส่อในเรื่องเพศอย่างไม่เหมาะสม ก่อให้เกิดผลกระทบทางร่างกายและจิตใจต่อผู้ถูกกระทำ ถือเป็นปัญหาสังคมที่ขาดการป้องกันและแก้ไขเท่าที่ควร แต่พฤติกรรมไม่เหมาะสมนี้กลับได้รับการสื่อสารเป็นเนื้อหาในรายการเพื่อความบันเทิงไทยจนผู้รับชมคุ้นชิน การวิจัยนี้จึงเป็นการวิจัยเชิงผสม ประกอบด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาและรายละเอียดรายการเพื่อความบันเทิงที่ปรากฏรูปแบบและคู่กรณีการคุกคามทางเพศ รวมถึงสำรวจการรับรู้เนื้อหาดังกล่าว, ทัศนคติและพฤติกรรมของผู้รับชมในฐานะผู้บริโภคสื่อต่อองค์กรธุรกิจสื่อบันเทิงที่สื่อสารเนื้อหาดังกล่าวด้วยแบบสอบถามออนไลน์ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า รายการเพื่อความบันเทิงไทยปรากฏเนื้อหาการคุกคามทางเพศด้วยวัจนภาษา (Verbal Harassment) มากที่สุด, อวัจนภาษา (Non-Verbal Harassment), รูปแบบอื่นๆ และทางร่างกาย (Physical Harassment) ตามลำดับ และปรากฏคู่กรณีการคุกคามทางเพศแบบชายคุกคามหญิง (Male Harasses Female), หญิงคุกคามชาย (Female Harasses Male), รักต่างเพศคุกคามรักร่วมเพศ (Heterosexual Harasses Homosexual), รักร่วมเพศคุกคามรักต่างเพศ (Homosexual Harasses Heterosexual) และคู่กรณีอื่นๆ พบว่าเพศชายเป็นผู้กระทำการคุกคามทางเพศมากที่สุด และเพศหญิงเป็นผู้ถูกคุกคามทางเพศมากที่สุด ด้วยสาเหตุ/จุดประสงค์ เพื่อสร้างความบันเทิงในการดำเนินรายการ, การแสดงทัศนคติต่อผู้ถูกคุกคาม, ความต้องการทางเพศของผู้คุกคาม และความเคยชินต่อการคุกคามทางเพศ ทั้งนี้องค์กรธุรกิจสื่อบันเทิงสื่อสารเนื้อหาดังกล่าวร่วมกับการทำให้เป็นเรื่องตลกขบขันผ่านเทคนิคการตัดต่อและลำดับภาพ เพื่อลดทอนความรุนแรงให้สามารถออกอากาศได้ กลุ่มตัวอย่างผู้รับชมในฐานะผู้บริโภคสื่อที่รับชมรายการเพื่อความบันเทิงเป็นประจำ 3 วันต่อสัปดาห์ อายุ 18 ขึ้นไป จำนวน 425 คน โดยส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง อายุระหว่าง 24-34 ปี มีการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี และมีรายได้เฉลี่ย 10,001-20,000 บาท มีการรับรู้เนื้อหาดังกล่าวในระดับบ่อยๆ พบว่าผู้รับชมที่มีเพศแตกต่างกัน มีการรับรู้เนื้อหาดังกล่าวที่แตกต่างกัน ส่วนทัศนคติของผู้รับชมต่อองค์กรธุรกิจสื่อบันเทิงที่สื่อสารเนื้อหาดังกล่าวอยู่ในระดับไม่เห็นด้วย ซึ่งมีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมของผู้รับชมต่อองค์กรฯ ที่อยู่ในระดับไม่เห็นด้วยเช่นเดียวกัน กล่าวคือ การสื่อสารเนื้อหาไม่เหมาะสมด้านการคุกคามทางเพศขององค์กรธุรกิจสื่อบันเทิง สามารถส่งผลกระทบต่อการสื่อสารองค์กรในด้านความนิยม และผลกำไรที่ลดลงขององค์กรฯ ในระยะยาว

Despite a growing interest in understanding Donald Trump’s election in 2016 as part of the historical trajectory of white racial identity politics, we do not know much about how ideas deemed “radical right” become mainstreamed. My study builds on extant research that implicates the emergence of the think tank industry by viewing one such right wing think tank as a racialized organization. Treves et al. (2019) propose a non-anthropocentric approach to conservation biology for the ‘just preservation’ of non-humans. Some of our current ways of ranking conservation efforts based on benefits to humans are indeed critically flawed, but we doubt that a completely non-anthropocentric approach is possible at this time. We propose a way to generate public support for those non-human species that may otherwise be overlooked in policy-making and conservation efforts.

This manuscript analyzes the public debate over legislation designed to mock and reject regulations of abortion in the United States. The bills, such as one in Texas requiring men to remain abstinent and avoid seminal discharge outside of narrow circumstances, are intentionally unworkable to critique Targeted Regulation of Abortion Provider (TRAP) laws, and laws regulating access to abortion in the US. I argue the bills are a form of Burkean burlesque, a novel strategy of humor and biting critique in the context of the US abortion debate. This study aims to determine the balance between female and male journalists in the mass media, and the subjective experience of women journalists in carrying out their duties. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews and interviewees in this study as many as five people from print and electronic media, to determine the sources of researchers using purposive sampling. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method with gender structuration theory which is a combination of structuration theory and feminist analysis. To what extent and in what ways does modernity reveal itself through the bureaucratic? This project aims at an interpretive understanding of bureaucratic modernity. The rationalization of society and action in the (late) modern world requires that an increasing number of human activities and domains be explained in allegedly neutral, ‘rational’ terms and without reference to morally substantive ends. Ultimately, this entails a form of epistemic reductionism that elevates instrumental rationality to the exclusion of practical reason and probabilistic ways of knowing. Purpose: Because people with aphasia frequently interact with partners who are unresponsive to their communicative attempts, we investigated how partner responsiveness affects quantitative measures of spoken language and subjective reactions during story retell.

Method: A quantitative and a qualitative study were conducted. In study 1, participants with aphasia and controls retold short stories to a communication partner who indicated interest through supportive backchannel responses (responsive) and another who indicated disinterest through unsupportive backchannel responses (unresponsive). Story retell accuracy, delivery speed, and ratings of psychological stress were measured and compared. In study 2, participants completed semi-structured interviews about their story retell …
