Using Artificial Intelligence To Mitigate Bottlenecks In Last-Mile Logistics: A Developing Country Perspective, Marvel S. Ogah, Comfort Ademola, Gregory Asiegbu

International Journal of Applied Management and Technology

The digital revolution of the logistic value chain has improved critical aspects of the global supply chain, especially in the aspect of last-mile logistics (LML). Bottlenecks, however, such as delays in deliveries, increased lead times, pollution, poor cost management, and tracking issues, among several others, plague the logistics operations in developing countries. Artificial intelligence (AI) can help mitigate these bottlenecks toward delivering incremental value to the end customers. This paper investigates the extent to which AI has been adopted in the logistics value chain in developing countries using a descriptive approach. Quantitative data were collected from 290 logistics and e-commerce …

Environmental And Social Strategies, And Sustainable Performance: The Mediating Role Of Management Control Systems, Zheng Siqi

Student Works (2020-2029)

This study investigates how environmental and social (E&S) strategies influence enterprise sustainability performance (SP), with a focus on the mediating roles of Environmental Management Control Systems (EMCS) and Social Management Control Systems (SMCS). Anchored in the Resource-Based View (RBV), the study conceptualizes E&S strategies, EMCS, and SMCS as internal organizational resources that support the implementation of sustainability-related strategic intent. Emotional Intelligence And Problem-Solving Correlations And Impact On Employability: A Case Study From The Uae, Ganka Ivanova, Rakan Alhrhasheh

All Works

In this study, we aim to address questions about how UAE Leadership Development Plans and Employability connect with current students in UAE classrooms by evaluating the correlation between the employability of UAE university students and their emotional intelligence (EI) and problem-solving skills. Moreover, we cover what must be considered in the curricula of UAE Universities to prepare future leaders to lead the workforce. To that end, we employed an employability test developed by AQR International UK and collected data from 310 undergraduate students aged 17 to 55. Both EI and problem-solving skills were strongly positively correlated with employability (p < .001). Even though male participants scored higher than female participants for EI and problem-solving skills, analysis of variance revealed nonsignificant gender differences (p > .05 …

Designing Inclusive Planning, Collaboration, And Communication Practices For Neurodivergent Individuals In Project-Based Environments, Siddhanth Janakiraman Feb 2026

Designing Inclusive Planning, Collaboration, And Communication Practices For Neurodivergent Individuals In Project-Based Environments, Siddhanth Janakiraman

Harrisburg University Dissertations and Theses

In a knowledge-driven economy where project-based work structures dominate, project management methodologies have become central to how organizations plan, collaborate, and communicate. However, these frameworks are often built around neurotypical assumptions of communication fluency, executive functioning, and time perception—creating systemic barriers for neurodivergent professionals. This study, Designing Inclusive Planning, Collaboration, and Communication Practices for Neurodivergent Individuals in Project-Based Environments, investigates how project management methodologies and tools can be adapted to foster more inclusive participation and performance. Grounded in the neurodiversity paradigm and informed by principles from Project Management and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), the research adopts a qualitative, exploratory approach. Through …

Effect Of Fintech Adoption On Commercial Banks’ Stability: Evidence From Gcc And North Africa, Ibrahim Ahmed Feb 2026

Effect Of Fintech Adoption On Commercial Banks’ Stability: Evidence From Gcc And North Africa, Ibrahim Ahmed

Theses and Dissertations

This paper looks at how financial technology (FinTech) adoption affects bank stability, measured by distance to default. It uses a unbalanced panel of listed banks from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and North Africa over the period from 2010 to 2024. To consider differences in bank risk and institutional traits, the study uses random-effects panel regressions along with quantile regression models and interaction specifications. These methods allow the effects of FinTech to change depending on the level of bank risk and the size of the bank. The results indicate that FinTech development does not have the same effect on banks’ …

Greenhouse Gas Emissions And Stock Market Volatility In The Eurozone: Evidence From Sectoral Structure And Climate Policy, Toulin Mohamed Albostany Feb 2026

Greenhouse Gas Emissions And Stock Market Volatility In The Eurozone: Evidence From Sectoral Structure And Climate Policy, Toulin Mohamed Albostany

Theses and Dissertations

This study examines the relationship between greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and stock market volatility in the Eurozone from 2000 to 2023. The analysis is driven by increasing concerns regarding climate related financial risks, investigating whether various types of emissions induce financial market instability and whether this relationship is influenced by the economic frameworks and climate policy contexts. Utilizing annual panel data from 20 Eurozone countries, stock market volatility is assessed by a Dynamic Conditional Correlation Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (DCC-GARCH) framework, which accounts for time-varying volatility and inter-market dependence. The empirical strategy integrates pooled OLS, fixed-effects models, and instrumental-variables Generalized …

What Are The Factors Affecting The Financial Sustainability Of Social Enterprises In Egypt?, Mina Atta Ghaly Feb 2026

What Are The Factors Affecting The Financial Sustainability Of Social Enterprises In Egypt?, Mina Atta Ghaly

Theses and Dissertations

This thesis investigates what factors affect the financial sustainability of social enterprises (SEs) in Egypt, situating them within a constrained MSME, legal and sectoral context marked by informality, weak innovation and recurrent shocks. Drawing on global and Egyptian literature, it identifies ten candidate factors—business model, financial management, founders’ skills and mindset, revenue structure, sector and mission, legal framework and innovative finance, capacity building, investment mechanisms and “the right investor”, adaptability to shocks, and ecosystem conditions—and integrates them into an extended Social Enterprise Model Canvas. Using a qualitative, exploratory design with semi‑structured interviews of social enterprise founders, incubators/accelerators, investors and experts, …

Reviving The Skies: The Impact Of Government Focus On Aviation Industry Growth In The Post-Covid World, Sumeet Hassan Anwar, Humna Asad

Journal of Aviation Technology and Engineering

Travel restrictions and border closures during the COVID-19 epidemic drastically reduced air traffic that affected the aviation sector. With an eye toward regional variances and public-private alliances, this essay investigates how government policies, financial interventions, and regulatory frameworks assisted recovery attempts. The essay also looks at how network-based resilience models lower vulnerabilities and improve operational connection, thus guaranteeing future disturbance readiness. Autoregressive integrated moving average models, among other forecasting instruments, help to forecast aviation demand and match recovery plans with changing market dynamics. By means of comparative policy analysis and network theory, this study reveals best practices from Asia, Europe, …

Entrepreneurial New Firm Survival As A Performance Indicator : A Multi-Level Process Perspective, Szabolcs Németh, Andrea Bikfalvi Phd, Neus Vila-Brunet

Journal of Business & Entrepreneurship

Understanding the survival of new firms requires examining the intricate interplay of internal and external factors across various levels and stages. While existing literature often emphasizes performance metrics, mortality rates, or antecedents of survival, it frequently overlooks the dynamic and continuous nature of entrepreneurial survival. This study extends empirical research on new firm survival through multiple case studies of seven incubated firms within four incubators in Catalonia, north-eastern Spain. aiming to (1) examine new firm survival as a performance indicator by categorizing the elements of the process across various levels and stages; (2) integrate the factors influencing survival by identifying …
