Public Disclosure And Its Impact On Ceo Compensation: Evidence Of Media Influence, Xin Zhao
Public Disclosure And Its Impact On Ceo Compensation: Evidence Of Media Influence, Xin Zhao
Journal of Global Awareness
I examine the effect of the AFL-CIO executive paywatch identification on future CEO compensation. My findings indicate that the public disclosure of CEO compensation has a negative impact on subsequent changes in CEO pay. Additionally, I find that CEOs with ex-ante overpayment have experienced changes in their subsequent compensation. This paper contributes to the literature by documenting that firms respond to negative press coverage of CEO compensation, even after controlling for the mean reversion effect associated with high CEO pay.

To gain insight into successful strategies, qualitative data from pre and post implementation focus group interviews and observational field notes informed the conclusions. Impact Of Self-Efficacy On Motivation In Recent Business Graduates, Steven James Chapman
JWU Dissertations & Theses
Each year throughout the United States, millions of bachelor’s degrees are conferred to recent graduates, and 17% of those graduates earned a business degree (Hanson, 2024). The problem this study addressed was rooted in the commonly held belief that recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree in business were not prepared with the skill sets needed to be successful and positively impact organizations (Berger, 2023; Molinsky & Pisman, 2019). The purpose of this research was to determine the skills that employers and recent graduates deem as most important for recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree in business to possess in a …

Online Journal for Workforce Education and Development
The training and requirements for initial licensure of Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers exhibit considerable variation across states, potentially resulting in a limited familiarity with high-impact special education practices among CTE educators. Two critical practices within this domain are the conduct of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and the design of Individualized Behavior Support Plans (IBSPs). The FBA process entails a thorough, team-based approach to data collection and analysis aimed at identifying the underlying causes of behaviors that impede a student with a disability from achieving academic, social, emotional, and vocational objectives. Based on the insights derived from the FBA, …

As such, they face pressure to engage younger generations who will likely become their future financial supporters in order for their nonprofit work to be sustained. Although multiple qualitative studies have demonstrated the interest and desire that Generation Z has to donate to causes they believe in, further research is needed to understand their donation behavior and how it correlates to nonprofits’ marketing strategies. In this study, we use quantitative and qualitative data from over 243 randomly selected Gen Z college students …

This also included questions that had participants report their perception of how each element affected their sense of belonging. The final item was open-ended and asked for their general thoughts on belonging in their program. The findings suggest that the …

The Journal of Values-Based Leadership
Since the September 11th tragedy in the United States, Islam has become associated with many in the West with unpredictable menace, a significant threat to the civilised order. This article presents a preliminary exploration of a counter narrative to that conception of Islam. Indonesian Islam challenges that common perception, even while it has also been the site of Islamic extremist violence. The big picture of Islam in Indonesia reveals a different story, one where such militancy is aberrant. It is not reflective of deep principles of Islam as it is practised by the vast majority of Indonesian Muslims. To take …
