Asia Marketing Journal
This study investigates the fulfillment of self-motivation including self-development, self-therapy, and self-presentation on the outcomes such as subjective quality of life, omnivorous cultural engagement, and visitor loyalty via visitor satisfaction in art museums. The analyses on 285 valid survey responses demonstrated that fulfillment of self-development and self-therapy needs have significant positive influence on visitor satisfaction. The effect of fulfilling self-presentation need on visitor satisfaction was found to be moderated by attitude toward SNS posting, while the age factor, based on generations, did not show a significant moderation effect. It was also found that visitor satisfaction positively influences visitor loyalty, including …

Understanding The Continuance Intention To Use Chatbot Services, Jeeyeon Kim, Yiling Li, Jeonghye Choi
Asia Marketing Journal
Chatbot services have become an essential communication tool for interacting with consumers in e-commerce. To understand consumer behavior in the context of chatbot services, we apply the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to analyze continuance intention to use and additional predictors to explain behavioral intention. An analysis of data collected from 300 digital shopping users who had experienced chatbot services revealed that an extended TPB model holds for the continuous use of chatbot services, driven by both interaction and information quality. Accordingly, these findings provide a better understanding of consumer behavior toward chatbot services and valuable insights into digital customer …

For Phillips, a peer mentoring program called BUDS, short for Buddies Understanding Different Students, proved life-changing. As a senior at Dobyns-Bennett – the same …

Not All Best Practices Result In Best Performances: Two Empirical Studies Of Online Accounting Education, Mark Sanders
Dissertations
Exploring the impact of specific pedagogical strategies in online accounting education on student learning outcomes is central to this research. This two-study dissertation focuses on the influence of course delivery methods on student performance and the mediating function of accounting efficacy. A diverse sample of accounting and business students was quantitatively analyzed to determine the relationship between course structure, classroom justice, students’ motivation and their accounting efficacy, applicability of learned material, and final grades. Even though certain teaching practices were advantageous, the combination of these practices did not always lead to improved student performance, according to the findings. Significant determinants …

Academic libraries come with a built-in clientele. Students must write term papers, after all, and faculty use library resources in course preparation and research. But with the constantly changing technology and methodologies, it can be hard to keep up with the myriad ways to use the library.
Staff at the Sherrod Library of East Tennessee State University work hard to help students and faculty stay on top of it all. To do this, the library engages in two different kinds of outreach, according to David Atkins, dean of the Sherrod Library.
“First, we support students and faculty with their research …

A Developed Framework For Studying Cyberethical Behaviour In North Central Nigeria, Aderinola Ololade Dunmade, Adeyinka Tella, Uloma Doris Onuoha
Journal of Cybersecurity Education, Research and Practice
ICT advancements have enabled more online activities, resulting in several cyberethical behaviours. Literature documents prevalence of plagiarism, and online fraud, among other misbehaviours. While behaviour has been explained by several theories, as scholarship and research advances, frameworks are modified to include more constructs. The researchers modified Fishbein and Ajzen (2011)'s Reasoned Action Approach to study female postgraduate students' perspectives toward cyberethical behaviour in North Central Nigerian universities.
The study focused on four variables, which were adequately captured by the model: perception, awareness, and attitude.
An adapted questionnaire collected quantitative data. This study used multistage sampling. A sample size of 989 …

Emotional health problems in the workplace often hinder the integration and retention of autistic employees (AE), a challenge identified in many sectors. Recent literature highlights the consequences of these problems, such as burnout leading to reduced productivity and resignation. Previous research supports the effectiveness of virtual reality (VR) for training a variety of specific skills (e.g. riding a bus or plane travel), as well as more complex social skills, such as emotion recognition and functional communication. In addition, existing studies on using physiological self-monitoring in AE training offer a promising approach to promoting improved emotional health. The present paper reports …

Vocational Education and Training plays a vital role in nurturing human capital and addressing the skills gap. Kosovo faces a high youth unemployment rate and a shortage of skilled employees in firms, indicating an education-to-labor market mismatch. This research explores Vocational Education and Training schools' potential in facilitating youth transition to employment through qualitative interviews with school coordinators across Kosovo. Despite Vocational Education and Training schools having a great potential for bridging the skills gap, they face barriers such as curriculum-labor market misalignment, limited business cooperation affecting dual education, low student motivation, and limited public awareness about Vocational Education and …

Economic Regionalization In Africa: Challenges And Per-Spectives Of The African Continental Free Trade Area (Afcfta), Kamal Tasiu Abdullahi
UBT International Conference
Since the year 1980, there has been a noticeable increase in nations' propensity to regionalize their economies. The author claim that because region-alization and globalization are intertwined processes, this regionalization either reflects countries' determination to defend themselves from the negative effects of globalized free trade or it is a new type of worldwide free trade. Since then, the number of regional trade agreements that bring about this economic region-alization has skyrocketed. The reasons behind this explosion are that, in theory, regionalization should enable better integration and increase household welfare by removing tariff and non-tariff obstacles in a region. Africa has …

The sensitivity to environmental preservation toward ethical and sustainable economic growth has been at an all-time high in recent decades. Green public procurement (GPP) is a procedure in which public entities, such as governments or municipalities, purchase goods and services that have a lower environmental effect than conventional alternatives. GPP is gaining popularity in the Western Balkans as a strategy for promoting sustainable development and addressing environmental issues.
The demand for recyclable products, energy-efficient systems, clean technology and fuels, is driving the adoption of ecologically responsible business practices. Private consumers are also encouraged to focus on green purchases. Considering that …

Agriculture Development Strategy In The Republic Of North Macedonia: Between Subsidies, Eu Support And Pressure From Liberalization, Ruzhdi Matoshi
UBT International Conference
Agriculture development differs a lot from the rest of economic sectors. While in a market economy the fate of businesses in each sector is decided by competition leading to the entries, survival and growth of the fittest, in agriculture as a whole there are some exceptions as a result of support from the government with subsidies. The main reasoning behind this direct support with the state funds is made on the grounds that food is necessity and there is no alternative to it. Even in global scale, efforts to support agricultural development in various forms. However, contradictions arise between the …

In recent years, human resource management (HRM) has witnessed an increasing awareness of the potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. However, the practical integration of AI in HRM, particularly in the domain of employing new members of the workforce in the healthcare sector, remains an underexplored frontier. The proliferation of AI, bolstered by the emergence of user-friendly tools and chatbots, has paved the way for a paradigm shift in employment practices in healthcare. Notably, a conspicuous gap exists in the literature concerning a comprehensive overview of AI’s organizational-level impacts on recruiting and managing nurses, doctors, physicians, and other healthcare …

Supply Chain Simulation Of Manufacturing Shirts Using System Dynamics For Sustainability, Gurinder Kaur, Ron Kander
School of Design and Engineering Papers
In supply chain management (SCM), goods and services flow from the raw materials stage to the end user with complexities and uncertainty at each stage. Computer modeling and simulation is a particularly useful method to examine supply chain operational issues because it can solve operational complexities that are challenging and time consuming to analyze. Manufacturing companies fear losing valuable time and assets during the manufacturing process; the inaccurate estimation of raw materials, human capital, or physical infrastructure not only leads to monetary loss for the manufacturing unit, but also has a detrimental effect on the environment. The purpose of this …
