What more is there to say about women in ministry? Plenty. And plenty was said from November 3-5 in Deerfield, Illinois at a conference entitled, ''Women in Ministry- A Conference for Lutheran Bishops and Staff." Thirty-nine bishops and their assistants met with fifteen lay and ordained women, following through on an idea conceived at the Conference of Ordained Women, held in 1980 to mark the tenth anniversary of the decision by three major Lutheran bodies to ordain women.

The Deerfield event was the first of three such meetings; one will be held in Philadelphia in December and one in San …

The Family In Modern Northern Irish Drama, Ray Wallace Jan 1982

The Family In Modern Northern Irish Drama, Ray Wallace

Masters Theses

The purpose of this thesis is to show the plight of the family in Northern Ireland. The four plays which are the subject of this study--Within Two Shadows by Wilson John Haire, The Flats By John Boyd, Nightfall to Belfast by Patrick Galvin, and The Death of Humpty Dumpty by J. Graham Reid--deal with this innocent faction and highlight three principal effects of the troubles on their family lives. First, the families suffer internal division. They are alienated by religious/political differences which are as inseparable in these dramas as they are in Northern Irish life. Socialist doctrine opposes Christian …

U.S. Military Small Arms Of The World Wars: A Guide For The Small Museum, David C. Conzett

Dissertations and Theses @ UNI

The small museum of today is confronted with a multitude of curatorial problems; these decisions ultimately influence the success or failure of the historical agency. A common dilemma in a majority of museums is the proper management of a firearms collection, especially modern military weapons. This situation has resulted in improper conservation methods, ineffectual interpretation and in some instances the complete disregard for a collection of this nature. Furthermore, these circumstances …
