Winona Campus Life, Mass Communication Department Jan 1989

Winona Campus Life, Mass Communication Department

Winona Campus Life

Winona Campus Life was a weekly laboratory newspaper produced by the WSU Mass Communciation Department students and printed as a supplement to the Sunday Winona Daily News, which began in September 1983. The newspaper provided coverage of the four institutions of higher education in Winona: Winona State University, St. Mary's University, College of Saint Teresa, and Winona Area Vocational-Technical School. It was created to provide a place for Mass Communcation students to publish their articles and photographs with the idea of generating reader feedback, which is essential in journalism education.

Elizabeth P. Simpson: Menu For Success, Betty Huning Hinton

UNM Historical Documents

This biography of Elizabeth Parkinson Simpson was written because of her accomplishments in a generation that coincides with the development of the University of New Mexico. She was Chairperson of the Home Economics Department at the University of New Mexico from 1918 until 1952 when she retired.

Her imprint on the young women who were trained in her Home Economics Department will never be forgotten, nor will her contributions to the growth of the state of New Mexico. Teachers trained in her field returned to their homes throughout the state to pass on that training to others.

All’S Well That Ends Well: Toward A Policy Of Assisted Rational Suicide Or Merely Enlightened Self-Determination?, George P. Smith Ii

Scholarly Articles

The central purpose of this Article is to show that through the self determination of an individual's life plan, not only is the full meaning of liberty acknowledged, the individual further recognizes that the very endowment of free will forms "the basis of our right to individual freedom of action, [and] the right to carry into execution the things we freely choose to do."
