Meeting The Spiritual Needs Of Older Adults: A Successful Presbyterian Model, Andrea Leihser Scandrett
Theses
This study presents a comprehensive evaluation of the motivations for and benefits of church attendance in the aged population. A survey of the active older members of a particular church was conducted in conjunction with a review of previous research on related subjects. These methods revealed that the primary and secondary motivations for church attendance were to worship and to fellowship, respectively. It was also found that church attendance plays a major role in the adjustment of the aged. However, attendance and participation are sometimes inadvertently discouraged by youth-oriented clergy. Statement of Project. The purposes of this project were first, to study the multifaceted aspects and the importance of ASI (Association of Privately Owned Seventh-day Adventist Services and Industries) in the United States of America, and second, to develop an approach for the establishment of ASI chapters in the Tanzania Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists.
Method. To accomplish the above purposes, primary sources of information were consulted, such as a survey of ASI and other relevant literature including ASI audio and video tapes in order to discover the historical background and cultural setting of ASI. The development of the self-supporting …

Winona Campus Life was a weekly laboratory newspaper produced by the WSU Mass Communciation Department students and printed as a supplement to the Sunday Winona Daily News, which began in September 1983. The newspaper provided coverage of the four institutions of higher education in Winona: Winona State University, St. Mary's University, College of Saint Teresa, and Winona Area Vocational-Technical School. It was created to provide a place for Mass Communcation students to publish their articles and photographs with the idea of generating reader feedback, which is essential in journalism education.
