In this interview, former Oregon University System Vice-Chancellor and Portland State University administrator Bill Lemman discusses his career in higher education in Oregon with Clarence Hein.

This interview was held on February 21, 2019, at the Portland State University Library.

W.T. “Bill” Lemman has been affiliated with Portland State from its inception. As a Vanport Extension Center student, he had close relationships with many faculty, including VEC founder Stephen Epler. Corporate Criminal Liability: Toward A Compliance-Orientated Approach, Gustavo A. Jimenez

Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies

Under U.S. federal law, a corporation can be held criminally liable for the crimes of its employees and agents. The Department of Justice's U.S. Attorneys' Manual lays out a list of factors prosecutors can evaluate when deciding whether or not to prosecute a corporate entity. The Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors have various tools at their disposal, including deferred prosecution agreements (DPAs) and non-prosecution agreements (NPAs) as alternatives to going to trial. Prosecutors have used DPAs and NPAs in recent cases, allowing the government to ensure that corporate entities comply with investigations, enact compliance programs, and continue to follow laws …

Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics, Sheila Samson

Whittier Scholars Program

The focus of my study explores how Los Angeles was awarded the 2028 Summer Olympics. Based on historical evidence from secondary sources, The Los Angeles 1984 Olympics revived the Olympic Spirit” that was lost throughout the Cold War. Los Angeles can be seen in close comparison to the London 2012 games for being the first country to host three times, followed by Paris 2024. As I analyzed the total investments that are used toward rerouting the metroline, I will examine the process of transportation for the viewers, spectators, and the athletes themselves.
