This doctoral capstone project examined a 90-day consulting engagement designed to strengthen organizational capacity in a small, M/WBE-certified professional services firm operating in a government contracting environment. Grounded in authentic and servant leadership frameworks, the engagement used a structured 30-60-90-day intervention model to assess leadership alignment, administrative infrastructure, human resources capacity, data management practices, and marketing readiness. The project employed an organizational health check-up approach to diagnose systemic gaps, co-create solutions with organizational leadership, and implement practical tools to improve operational consistency, compliance readiness, and leadership effectiveness. Does A More Functionally Diverse Top Management Team Make The Financial Statements More Comparable?, Md Mahmudul Hasan, Audrey Wen-Hsin Hsu, Sayan Sarkar, Tsung-Hsuan Joey Yang

We examine whether top management team (TMT) functional diversity affects financial statement comparability. Drawing upon upper echelons theory and the information sharing perspective in diversity research, we argue that TMT functional diversity produces more comparable financial statements due to better information sharing and integration. Using a sample of US firms, we find that financial statement comparability is positively associated with TMT functional diversity. We also find that the positive relationship between TMT functional diversity and comparability is more pronounced in firms with a poor information environment. Our findings remain robust after addressing endogeneity concerns. This study contributes to the existing …

Nurses are the frontline of healthcare services and have faced increasing work pressure during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, nurse loyalty becomes a crucial factor for the sustainability of healthcare organizations. This study aims to analyze the influence of ethical leadership on employee loyalty by examining the mediating roles of psychological contract and work-family conflict. A total of 145 nurses participated in this study. Data were analyzed using a quantitative approach through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of Lisrel 8.80. The findings reveal that ethical leadership has a positive effect on both employee loyalty and psychological contract. …

The study examined how the Grand Valley Leadership Academy (GVLA) training affected participants' performance and its application in their organizations. Surveys of GVLA participants and employers showed that coaching and leadership skills improved, with high satisfaction from managerial support, peer support, and pre-training. Employers' feedback highlighted evolving leadership needs post-pandemic. The research stresses a supportive environment's role in translating training into practice and suggests leadership development must adapt to organizational changes and workforce flexibility.
