This report presents findings from an investigation into shale-related investment in Ohio. The investment estimates are cumulative from January through June of 2017. This report is part of a general microgrid planning evaluation for Cleveland, Ohio undertaken by Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University, underwritten by the Cleveland Foundation. The evaluation has been undertaken in collaboration with Cuyahoga County and the City of Cleveland. This report focuses on one of the more important questions posed in building a microgrid: what is the marginal value of reliable power to end users?
