Based on extended Indonesia’s Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) 2015 and using the micro-simulation method, this study shows how sectoral growth affects income inequality and poverty in Indonesia and the contribution of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) manufacturing sector in reducing income inequality. Of the 24 sectors in Indonesia, only the growth in 10 sectors can reduce income inequality, with the largest reduction being growth in other agricultural crop sector. The national struggle for sustainable development influenced the sub-national governments level in composing their policy directions especially public budget policy. Nonetheless, although the environmental protection function is important, it tends to be marginalized in the national budgetary debates. This study, therefore, attempts to analyse the ‘green budget’ allocation and utilization within the Regional Medium-term Development Plan 2013 – 2017 of Jakarta Province. The main purpose of this study was to examine whether the health variable as proxied by government health insurance participation and the infrastructure variable as a proxy for steady road conditions were correlated with the electability of political dynasties in the district/city elections in Indonesia in 2017-2020. The aims of this study was to examine the impact of implementation of the Large-Scale Social Restriction or PSBB policy on the concentration of particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5). The observation period lasted from September 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020 in five major cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Semarang, and Surabaya. The implementation of decentralization should have a positive impact on regional progress. Since its implementation in 2001, decentralization in Indonesia has become deeper and wider. Using the slum settlement policy as a study approach, this study will examine the impact of decentralization and how persistent these impacts are. The estimation results using RD-DiD shows that the implementation of decentralization has a negative correlation with the arrangement of slums in the Jabodetabek area. This study aims to analyze the relationship between education expenditure and teacher quality on education quality at the senior secondary level in Indonesia. Based on data analysis across provinces using the Fixed Effect Method, an inverted U-shaped relationship was identified between education expenditure and education quality. This study also shows that teacher quality has a significant effect in improving education quality. The interregional analysis shows that education expenditure has an inverted U-shaped relationship and teacher quality has a positive relationship with education quality at the outside Java-Bali region. This study try to measure the size of the provincial-level underground economy in Indonesia using a monetary approach. Measurements were made in the study period 2007 - 2017, using Ordinary Least Square regression, to estimate the currency demand due to underground economy activities at the regional level that are affected by regional tax burdens. Estimates in this study resulted in the amount of underground economy ranging from 3.8% - 11.6% of the GRDP with an average of 8% per province per year.

This study examines the effect of the implementation of Kredit Pemilikan Rumah Fasilitas Likuiditas Pembiayaan Perumahan (KPR-FLPP) as subsidized mortgage on the recent migration rate and its impact for low-income households in Indonesia. Using the multiple linear regression method random effect model, this study analyzed the home ownership status of recent migrants with indicators of the average household’s per capita expenditure in the 2010-2019 Statistics Indonesia survey. This study analyzes the impact of the regulation of Spesific Drugs (OOT) applied to pharmaceutical companies producing OOT in 2018 on the number of OOT production. Using the difference-in-differences (DID) approach method, this study looked at the influence of the 5 (five) OOT groups. As technology alters the way organizations work, the need for labor adjustment which more adaptable to technological changes has risen in high digital intensive sectors. However, vocational graduates face difficulties regarding this situation as their vocational school failed to equip them with advanced technological skills. Based on signaling and human capital investment theory, this problem can be solved by increasing education and training. This research aims at analyzing to what extent the role of information and communication technology (ICT) could support the performance of the creative economy sector that is rapidly growing in Indonesia.
