For six weeks I served as a finance intern with the Toilet Board Coalition (TBC) and created a Portfolio Presentation to deliver to TBC’s corporate board members in May. With my background in Public Health and interest in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability, I was interested in learning how cross-sector partnerships can help accelerate global health development. El enfoque de este informe es la situación del financiamiento de las OSCs en Argentina. Las OSCs (Organizaciones de Sociedad Civil) pertenecen al sector que trabaja en el campo entre el sector gubernamental y el sector privada. Trabajan para fines públicos, son autónomas y actúan sin fines de lucro. Las OSCs en Argentina generalmente juntan sus fondos principales a través de los siguientes métodos: fondos de las ONGs internacionales; fondos de las empresas; fondos de los donantes individuales. As Morocco continues its development efforts, one of the most visible disparities that remains is the divide between urban and rural development. Oulmes, a small town of under 10,000 people in the Khemisset province, is home to Les EauxMinéralesd’Oulmes, one of the wealthiest corporations in Morocco. While this would initially seem to be a major distinction in terms of opportunity for development, the area’s economy is primarily agriculturally driven, and by most indicators remains relatively poor. Les EauxMineralesd’Oulmes has a history of strained relations with the surrounding community following a 1999 strike of local workers. This project focuses on this …
