The purpose of this study was to examine how the reported experiences of foster parents might benefit future foster parents in raising a foster child. All of the participants in the study reported that they would raise another foster child if they were young because it leads to positive outcomes.

The purpose of this quantitative research study was to examine the characteristics of children who reentered the child welfare system in the state of California. Another purpose of this study was to see how San Bernardino County's reentry trends fit in to the rest of the state of California. It is the hope to develop a child welfare practice to determine if a policy or specific practices can be altered so that the recidivism rate decreases.

As youth emancipate out of the child welfare system, they face many challenges. This study investigated whether or not having a permanent connection was beneficial to young adults after they left foster care. It showed that even with the presence of an identified mentor to guide youth post-emancipation, these youth were still facing serious difficulties.
