Severely emotionally disturhed (SED) children have significant needs in regards to services which help maintain them in the community. In Lhe past decade the federal governmenE has mandated that coMmunities develop innovative ways to bring effective, individualized services to children in the least restrictive environment through the collaboration of agency services. The implementation of therapeutic services into the public school system, also known as school-based day treatment, has been one response to this mandate.
