The purpose of this study to investigate the relationship between mother-child attachment and childhood abuse trama. It will examine levels of attachment and their relationship to different types of abuse including physical, emotional, sexual and negligence. Instruments utilized were the Parental Attachment Questionaire, Childhood Trauma Questionaire, and Parental Bonding Instrument.

The purpose of this study is to investigate barriers to seeking services pertaining to domestic violence among the gay and lesbian population. The treatment barriers to seeking support and services for Same Sex Domestic Violence (SSDV) is related to fear, not feeling safe, judgmental attitudes, lack of education, and law enforcement discrimination.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not therapy is effective among intra-familial child sexual abuse offenders and to identify successful strategies and techniques. An intra-familial child offender is a person whose sexual desire is directed toward children, usually of pre-pubertal or early pubertal age. The distinction within an intra-familial child sexual offender is that the offense was that the victim was within the perpetrator's family.

The purpose of this study was to investigate intervention outcomes for domestic violence in families and adult children. This study targeted intervention outcomes of families and adult children from domestic violence homes for the purpose of comparing those self referred versus those who were mandated for intervention.

This project surveyed 21 respondents to determine whether family medicine physician assistants' medical education and training while in residency is sufficient to assess or identify domestic violence. The project found that although family medicine physician assistants do receive education and training on domestic violence, it is insufficient because victims may still go undetected and unserved.
