Public Acceptance Of Guidance And Regulations For Space Flight Participation, Cory Trunkhill, Robert Joslin, Joseph Keebler

Space flight participants are not professional astronauts and not subject to the rules and guidance covering space flight crewmembers. Ordinal logistic regression of survey data was utilized to explore public acceptance of current medical screening recommendations and regulations for safety risk and implied liability for civil space flight participation. Independent variables constituted participant demographic representations while dependent variables represented current Federal Aviation Administration guidance and regulations. Odds ratios were derived based on the demographic categories to interpret likelihood of acceptance for the criteria. The aim of this study is to explore and understand the influence of demographic factors on teleconsultation acceptance in Malaysian government hospitals. The materials of this study are based on an exploratory mixed-method study involving semi-structured interviews with key informants and questionnaires survey of health care providers. The prominent influence of demographic aspects over the acceptance of teleconsultation technology from the mixed methods standpoint is further discussed. The findings of both results provide evidence to suggest that teleconsultation acceptance differs across the types of hospital, distance between referring and referral hospital, role of teleconsultation, and user's computer ability. The 2000 U.S. Decennial Census produced profiles of Kenya-born and other Africa-born immigrants for the first time. These tabulations provide useful information about the counts and demographic, social, economic, and housing characteristics of Kenyans living in the United States. This paper compares the characteristics of the East Africa born with the U.S. born, as well as with all U.S. Blacks. Overall, the data show a classic brain drain in the emigration from the East African community as people relocate and settle down in the United States.
