This study sought to explore the relationship between psychopathology, aggression, and impulsivity. Two hypotheses were derived from the existing scientific literature: First, as a validity check, we anticipated that levels of psychopathology would be related to both aggression and impulsivity (as previously reported data suggests). Second, we anticipated that impulsivity would moderate the relationship between overall symptom severity and aggression. Finally, we constructed exploratory regression models to examine the contribution of specific types of impulsivity in the prediction of specific acts of aggression across BSI symptom groupings.
