Previous research on stress in adults demonstrates that stress, even perceived stress, can take a toll on an individual’s health. Research also indicates that the severity of stress in college students has been rapidly increasing, which indicates a need for more investigation in this area. The purpose of this study was to determine if there was a difference between the stress levels of male and female college students and, if so, whether there is another factor involved that can account for this difference.
