American Muslims have increasingly experienced Islamophobia-related discrimination and stereotypes, including unjust accusations of violence, hatred, and terrorism, especially since 9/11. This study investigates the experience of Muslim immigrants in the U.S. and its impact on their children’s school outcomes. Using the theoretical frameworks of segmented assimilation, acculturation, social identity theory, and critical race theory, post-9/11 Muslim immigrants and their elementary school children are the focus of this study. Specifically, this study examines the associations among the following constructs: Muslim identity, culture and traditions, community connectedness, and children's school outcomes. An increasing reliance on expatriate employees makes it critical that multinational organizations make a concerted effort to facilitate the successful transition of employees from foreign cultures. The parallels between the experience of expatriate employees and international students suggests that the results of research investigating issues of cross‑cultural adaptability that are conducted in academic settings should generalize to the workplace. The current study investigated the influence of the Sino‑American 1+2+1 Dual Degree Program on the cross‑cultural adaptability, acculturation, and withdrawal intentions of international students. The current study focused on the prevalence of negative eating attitudes in one hundred and forty-five Latina college students and delineated the cognitive and cultural factors that may be responsible for the increase in negative eating attitudes (NEAT) in Latinas. Questionnaires were distributed to college students enrolled in various social science classes in undergraduate psychology courses at Cal State University, San Bernardino for extra course credit.

This research examined the relationships between international students' acculturation levels and their motives for study abroad, residency intentions regarding the United States, English proficiency, and length of residency in the United States. Implications are discussed, including how the understanding of students' motives can be used in counseling and recruitment of international students.

In light of the increase of Hispanic Immigrants (i.e 1st, 2nd, 3rd generation) in the U.S. workforce and the impact that the quality of the leader-member exchange has on the organization's success, this study investigated the quality of the relationship that emerges between hispanic subordinates and Anglo-American leaders (i.e who are most representative of the U.S. dominant culture).
