Tell Me More. This interactive workshop is designed to both refresh and expand the counseling skills necessary for helping children and youth tell their story. Participants will discuss, explore, and engage in creative, therapeutic techniques that promote the following elements: implementing engaging storytelling, increasing client self-awareness; and fostering a client's sense of being seen, heard, and understood. Stories matter, because they belong to a person.

Substance abuse is an unfortunate but commonly used escape for many LGBT youth as they lack resources to help address anxiety and trauma. When faced with a constant state of fear of violence and identity concealment many turn to drugs or suicide. This session will provide information on addressing LGBT youth substance abuse and creating an inclusive campus climate.

Understanding factors that could influence attitudes and beliefs regarding child sexual abuse may inform efforts to educate clinicians, legal and medical personnel, and even the public on potential sources of bias and barriers to treatment and other service utilization, particularly in rural communities. The purpose of the current study was to experimentally investigate the impact of child accuser age and gender and participant rural status on ratings of perceived credibility of child sexual abuse allegations described in vignettes.
