The Moderating Role Of Personality On Person-Organization Fit And Turnover, Jane Park

Two studies were conducted to investigate whether personality traits serve as boundary conditions of the person-organization fit and turnover relationship, and whether continuous commitment may help explain why personality moderates the relationship between person-organization fit and turnover. The first study examines the effect of extraversion, neuroticism, and conscientiousness on the relationship between person-organization fit and turnover. The sample consisted of 1,251 office managers at a large, national organization. The second study follows up on the first study and examines the same relationships.
