A collection of newspaper clippings with dates ranging from January 1962 to January 1966. During this time Michael DeCiantis was serving as a judge for the Rhode Island State Family Court. Scrapbook 23 covers DeCiantis' work as a judge and the trials he presided over. He commonly dealt with divorce and custody trials, child abuse and neglect, and cases against minors. This scrapbook also covers the conditions at the Rhode Island State Training School and a glue-sniffing problem affecting young people. The clippings are featured in chronological order.
