Objective: To describe how the library’s online tutorial for medical students, “Introduction to Citation Management Tools,” was created and integrated into the College of Medicine’s Residency Preparation Boot Camp. Implemented in 2017, passing the tutorial is still a requirement for completing the boot camp.

Methods: In 2017, the Maguire Medical Library was asked by undergraduate and graduate medical education faculty to create a citation management tutorial for 4th-year medical students preparing to commence their respective residency programs. Anatomage Table 6, which launched in the fall of 2018, is the latest software for users of the Anatomage Virtual Dissection Table. Anatomage Table 6 comprises numerous virtual anatomy dissection and study tools for use by anatomy students and instructors. This review provides an overview and assessment of Anatomage Table 6’s primary tools and advanced navigation features.

Background: A previous cluster-randomized controlled trial tested the effectiveness of a clinical evidence technology (CET), VisualDx, for skin problems seen by Primary Care Providers (PCPs). Based on patient report, there was no effect on time to problem resolution or return appointments.

Objective: To explain, from the provider perspective, why the CET did not make a difference in the clinical trial and to identify barriers and facilitators to use.

Methods: Mixed methods study design. Providers from both arms completed a survey about their use of VisualDx and information-seeking during and after the trial. Active arm providers participated in interviews to explore …

BACKGROUND: A multidisciplinary group at Children's Mercy Kansas City applied for and received the NNLM MCR's Immersive Workshop Grant in December, 2017, and used the funding to organize and host a two-day immersive, interprofessional workshop in April, 2018, that 1) brought together health literacy-invested groups and individuals within the Kansas City community to learn about health literacy including cultural, language, numeracy and digital inclusion factors; and 2) provided specialized training to targeted CM participants to improve the provision of bedside health information to patients and caregivers.
