E-resources rose in significance throughout the world during COVID-19 pandemic as these were used extensively in teaching, learning and research. Present study was conducted to know about the awareness and use of e-resources by the researchers and faculty members of science and social science faculties in three universities of Haryana, their purpose of using e-resources, levels of satisfaction and problems faced by them. This study is based on primary data collected from the faculty members and researchers using a self-designed questionnaire. The Kenya Libraries and Information Services Consortium (KLISC) has been at the forefront of championing and spearheading Open Access initiatives in Kenya. The National consortium — which boasts over 130 member institutions through a combination of university libraries, research institutions, and public/national libraries — was established in 2003 with an aim of collective subscriptions to electronic resources to cope with the increasingly unsustainable cost of information resources. Open access plays a significant role in expanding access by enabling scholars more equitable participation in research and development activities globally. However, little is known about researchers’ awareness and adoption of open access at the University of Zambia. To address this gap, this study investigated open access scholarly communication practices at Zambia’s premier University. Using a survey research design, data were collected from a sample of 67 participants via an online questionnaire. The purpose of this study to understanding the researcher’s level of awareness, usage of reference management tools, benefits and obstacles of reference management tools in particularly “Zotero & Mendeley”. Structured design questionnaire randomly distributed through web 2.0 technologies (E-mail, LIS links, WhatsApp, Facebook) and finally, we received 170 dully filled respondents. USU launched a program in 2016 to connect researchers seeking federal funding with librarians to assist them with data management. This program assisted over 100 researchers, but was it successful? Our presentation will discuss how we evaluated the success of this program using online asynchronous focus groups (OAFG) in conjunction with a traditional survey. Our cross-institutional research team will share our findings as well as the challenges and successes of using OAFGs to assess library services.

This study sought to investigate information discovery and scholar networking as modes of scholarly communication across researchers in the Arab region. An online survey was distributed in December 2020 using the Google form. The questionnaire also includes the following elements: (a) what are the researchers’ purposes of using electronic resources; (b) how do researchers look for and access scholarly material and (c) what methods of networking are mostly used for scholar connection.
