Through the development of the Internet over the past two decades, a new discipline that allows the study of the Web from a quantitative point of view has arisen: webometrics. Applying webometrics techniques to management studies, points to the possible existence of a relationship between the number of inlinks that a corporate website receives, and certain economic and financial variables.
