Students Awareness Of And Attitude To Hiv/Aids: Implications For Information Providers, Chinwe Veronica Anunobi Dr

The study was carried ot to determine the undergraduate students awareness and attitude towards HIV/AIDS prevention. A sample of 1000 students was taken from the Federal University of Technology Owerri. The results show that the students had no deep knowledge of HIV/AIDS, their major source of information is the mass media, many of the students were not taking precautionary measures against HIV/AIDS infection.

My claim in this contribution to this important symposium is that the law and legal scholarship should be freely available on the Internet, and copyright law and licensing should facilitate achievement of this goal. This claim reflects the combined aims of those who support the movement for open access law. This nascent movement is a natural extension of the well-developed movement for free access to primary legal materials and the equally well-developed open access movement, which seeks to make all scholarly journal articles freely available on the Internet. Introduction. This study explored graduate students' information behaviour related to their process of inquiry and scholarly activities. Method. In depth, semi-structured interviews were conducted with one hundred graduate students representing all disciplines and departments from Carnegie Mellon University. Analysis. Working in pairs, we coded transcripts of interviews into meaningful categories using ATLAS.ti software. The combined use of quantitative and qualitative analysis aimed to reduce subjectivity. Results. Graduate students often begin with a meeting with professors who provide direction, recommend and provide resources. Other students help to shape graduate students' research activities, and university library personnel provide guidance in finding resources. …
