Rare Books & Special Collections Publications
This exhibition, James Dickey at 70: A Tribute, was mounted by the University of South Carolina Libraries' Division of Special Collections in recognition of James Dickey's seventieth birthday, of his 25 years at the University, and of the publication of his third novel, To the White Sea, and was an aspect of the larger September 1993 celebration. The exhibition was designed to complement the celebration's activities and to provide a sense of the development of the artist's oeuvre and contained examples of Dickey's fiction, poetry, essays and interviews, and children's books.
