Comparison of the University of Rhode Island Libraries with peer institutions (as defined by the University's Office of Institutional Research). Data used are from the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Statistical Survey from the years 2007-2011. Metrics compared are: total library expenditures, total library materials expenditures, current serials expenditures, monographs expenditures, number of serials purchased, number of monographic volumes purchased, salaries & wages professional staff, salaries & wages support staff, professional staff (fte), support staff (fte), total library resources expenditures per enrolled student FTE, and total library materials resource expenditures per enrolled student FTE.

This is a spreadsheet of library expenditure data prepared for NEASC's five-year accreditation visit to the University of Rhode Island in fall 2012. It presents time series data from 1995/96 to 2010/11 on total expenditures on monographs (books), total number of monographs purchased, total gift volumes added, expenditures on monographs as a percentage of total materials expenditures, and purchasing power of the library's monograph budget calculated by deflating monograph expenditures by the U.S. College Books price index to 1995 dollars.
