YouTube is the most used social media platform in the world where users search for information through various search tools provided. This study aims to analyze the behavior of information-seeking on YouTube among undergraduate students in Surabaya, Indonesia. We examined their information-seeking behavior and its implementation in daily life. We also evaluated the information needs and interests. Purpose:-The present study aims to report the academic use of social media by medical students in the government medical college, Kozhikode, Kerala-India.

Methodology:-Electronic questionnaires using Google Forms were distributed to collect data from the targeted participants and data were analysed with the help of IBM-SPSS using descriptive statistics including frequency and percentage methods.

Results The study determines that Facebook was the frequently useable application among these students. The majority of the students used social media for academic and entertainment purposes.

The targeted population for this study will consist of all 200 level students of University of Agriculture, Makurdi 200 level students of Benue State University and 200 level students of University of Mkar, Mkar and lecturers.
