This moderated discussion will cover the two roles that institutional repositories can play when talking to instructors about copyright and fair use. On the one hand, we show repositories as a source of materials for instructors who are confused or concerned about the rules related the use of copyrighted materials in their teaching. On the other, we demonstrate how our own institutional repository, ScholarWorks, can be used as a publishing tool by instructors who want more control over how their works are used in education.
