The study aimed to explore the impact of e-libraries on youth development in Punjab, Pakistan. The quantitative research method was adopted to address research questions of the study. A questionnaire using the five domains of Youth Development Index of the Commonwealth was developed to collect the quantitative data from young users (aged between 15-29 years) of four e-libraries developed under the Punjab E-Library Project in Punjab, Pakistan. The findings illustrate that e-libraries had a significant positive impact on youth development in all the five domains. The purpose of the study was to assess users’ satisfaction with electronic resources available in university libraries in Punjab, Pakistan. The study adopted the quantitative research method to achieve its objectives. The quantitative data were collected through the questionnaire from library users in eight public universities by employing the convenience sampling technique. The findings of the study reveal that the libraries lacked adequate electronic resources. The respondents were satisfied only with the internet resources. This study aimed to explore end-users’ digital literacy skills in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. The study employed the quantitative research method to address the research questions. The quantitative data were collected from research students (M.Phil. and PhD) studying at different departments in the university through the questionnaire. Purpose: This study examined the printed and electronic information resources of public libraries of Pakistan, and to know the budget allocated by the libraries for the procurement of information resources.

Effectiveness Of Digital Reference Services In University Libraries In Punjab, Pakistan: Users’ Perceptions, Muhammad Younus, Azhar Hassan Nadeem

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of digital reference services in university libraries in the Punjab, Pakistan. The study employed the quantitative research method to achieve its objectives. The quantitative data were collected from users of four selected university libraries which offered digital reference services through the questionnaire.

The findings of the study suggest that more than half of the respondents were aware of digital reference services offered by their libraries. Amongst the respondents who were aware of the service, most of the respondents came to know about it through the library websites. The majority of respondents used the …
