Ethics In Science And Engineering: Redefining Tools And Resources, Goncalves Michelle, Jane E. Fountain, Adamick Jessica, Billings Marilyn
Jane E. Fountain
The leaders of the ESENCe beta site project organized
a national workshop, “Ethics in Science and Engineering:
Redefining Tools and Resources,” that was held on
October 22-23, 2009 at UMass Amherst. The workshop
objectives, broadly speaking, were twofold: first, to
explore the potential for leveraging the university’s role
as a locus of education and mentoring for ethics and
RCR in science and engineering and, second, to explore
the potential and limitations of digital tools, including
social media, for supporting such growth. The workshop

Most cited works are published in the English language, although articles published in other languages using a Latin alphabet are also included. Citations were retrieved during January-March 2010 from a variety of aggregated databases accessed through the Wayne State University …

However, fears that the Internet leads to fragmentation rest on three assumptions: 1. online, opportunities for unintended encounters with a diversity of information are limited, 2. people primarily pursue narrow interests when consuming online …
American First Ladies As Goodwill Ambassadors, Wendy W. Tan
American First Ladies As Goodwill Ambassadors, Wendy W. Tan
Publications and Research
Quite a few First Ladies took very active moves regarding international interests, and they often weighed in their opinions on their husbands’ decisions on related issues. My research was mainly conducted in five Presidential Libraries associated with five well-traveled First Ladies. After studying hundreds of journeys they made, my descriptions were focused on five, one for each lady, of them only. All of these trips shared a common trait, which was under the calling of humanitarian cause.
