(B&A), on behalf of La Chalupa, LLC, conducted an archeological survey within the proposed Chalupa Wind Project - Arroyo Colorado Transmission Line Crossing (the Project), in Cameron County, Texas. The proposed overhead transmission line would be approximately 10.4 miles in length, 1.7 miles of which would be located on property owned by the Port of Harlingen Authority, a political subdivision of State, triggering compliance with the Antiquities Code of Texas and associated regulations outlined in 13 TAC 26. In June 2015, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Brownsville (UTRGVB) (Client) contracted with Raba Kistner Environmental, Inc. (RKEI) to perform an intensive cultural resources survey for a temporary building pad site and a 1000-ft. road segment and accompanying parking lot to be constructed on the UTRGVB Campus, Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas. In addition, the asphalt pavement over an existing parking lot was to be removed. The project is sponsored and the right-ofway is owned by the University. (RKEI) was contracted by Muñoz & Company (CLIENT) to conduct archaeological monitoring association with the proposed partial demolition of a historic cistern located within the footprint but under the floor of the historic Stegman Building, in Brownsville’s Historic Downtown District, Cameron County, Texas.

The monitoring was requested by the Texas Historical Commission (THC) and was initiated by the fact that the age of the cistern feature and its association with the Stegman Building was not clearly known. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Central Federal Lands Highway Division (CFLHD) is proposing to improve Buena Vista Road, a two-lane, paved roadway accessing the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Cameron County, Texas. While the project is located within the Laguna Atascosa NWR, the roadway falls under the jurisdiction of Cameron County. The proposed project includes pavement reconstruction and widening by pulverizing and overlaying Buena Vista Road along a 2.7-mile (4.35 kilometer [km]) segment from the intersection of General Brant Road to the north entrance of the Laguna Atascosa NWR (Figure 1-1). On August 8th and 9th, 2017, personnel from POWER Engineers, Inc. (POWER) performed an intensive archeological survey of a proposed electrical substation and substation access road on stateowned Port of Brownsville property in Cameron County, Texas. The investigation was undertaken under Texas Antiquities Permit 8125. The approximately 11.4-acre proposed substation Project area is located approximately 0.7 mile north of the intersection of Chemical Road and the BrownsvillePort Isabel Highway (State Highway 48). This report documents the results of an intensive archaeological survey for the Brownsville Independent School District (BISD) Early College High School Project on the south west bank of Fort Brown Resaca., Cameron County, Texas. In accordance with the Antiquities Code of Texas (13TAC26.21), GTI submitted an Antiquities Permit application to Texas Historical Commission, and GTI Environmental, Inc. (GTI) was issued Antiquities Permit # 5862.
