In June 2015, Atkins archaeologists conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the proposed Crabb River Road Widening Project near Rosenberg, Texas, which is sponsored by Fort Bend County and involves right-of-way (ROW) owned by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This investigation provides a basis to identify and assess cultural resources that could be impacted by construction of the proposed undertaking in accordance with the National Historic Preservation Act and the Antiquities Code of Texas.

HRA Gray & Pape, LLC, of Houston, Texas conducted an intensive pedestrian cultural resources survey on approximately 3.72 hectares (9.2 acres) of property proposed for the construction of a detention pond in the City of Richmond, Fort Bend County, Texas.

The goals of the survey were to determine if the proposed undertaking would affect any previously identified archaeological sites as defined by Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended (36 CFR 800), and to assess the presence of previously unidentified buried archaeological resources within the Project’s Area of Potential Effects. The Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District controls an easement within the 22 acre project area. The Project Sponsor is complying with the Antiquities Code of Texas (13TAC26). Horizon Environmental Services, Inc. (Horizon) was selected by Land Tejas Companies, Ltd. (Land Tejas), to conduct an intensive cultural resources inventory and assessment of the approximately 99.1-hectare (245.0-acre) Fulshear tract in northern Fulshear, Fort Bend County, Texas. Land Tejas is proposing to construct a residential subdivision on the tract. The tract is bounded on the east by County Road (CR) 359, on the south by Hunt Road, and on the west by Pool Hill Road. The project area would consist of the entire 99.1-hectare (245.0-acre) tract.

On May 12, May 13, and June 5, 2015, Moore Archeological Consulting, Inc., conducted a cultural resource investigation of a privately owned 5.8-acre tract of land for the Fort Bend County Facilities Management & Planning Department, Fort Bend County, Texas. The tract is being considered for purchase by Fort Bend County. While Fort Bend County is interested in developing the current 5.8-acre project area, the specifics of this development are, as yet, undetermined.
