The paper highlights the Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)'s approach to consumer protection and financial stability in Malaysia with the aim of drawing lessons for Nigeria. The paper proposes an action for the establishment of a financial mediation bureau in Nigeria, to be set up by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). To achieve this, the paper is structured in six sections.
