With the majority of literature focused on reducing clergy stressors, there is a need to explore how pastors respond when ministry idealism dissipates, while familial and congregational expectations increase. When idealized expectations fade, how do clergy experience resiliency? The purpose of this study was to explore how idealism affects clergy resiliency and their responses, coping, and longevity in ministry. Ten new church-planting Protestant pastors were selected using snowball sampling. Each pastor was interviewed. Data from the two-hour in-depth interviews was collected, organized and analyzed. There are different reasons why women enter the sex industry; many of them were sexually abused as children and have been psychologically deceived, which is indicative of their vulnerable state and complex needs. Today, many studies show that the amount of women involved in sex work continues to rise. As a result more strip clubs have surfaced in the United States, and more and more females continue to obtain employment from these adult establishments. Examining The Relationship Of Variables Associated With Pre-Service Teachers Coping During Their Practicum Experience, Andrew E. Soave

This study examined the relationship amongst the variables of resiliency, subjective well-being, emotional intelligence, teachers’ self-efficacy and physical activity in the context of pre-service teachers' (N=17) coping before and during their teaching practicum. There were significant relationships identified amongst the variables of resiliency, subjective well-being, emotional intelligence, teachers’ self-efficacy and physical activity. Pre-service teachers had significantly higher levels of resiliency in relation to sense of relatedness during the teaching practicum. The findings also suggest that higher levels of physical activity were related to lower levels of resiliency in relation to emotional reactivity during the practicum experience.
