The influences of race on people’s lived experiences are vast and enumerable. Despite advancements in multicultural counseling literature, the experiences of racially ambiguous people of color, or persons who do not align with preexisting ideas about race (Brown & Brown, 2004; James &Tucker, 2003; Young, Sanchez, & Wilton, 2013), are relatively unknown. Further, the racially ambiguous experience is often conflated with persons of mixed-race heritage (Young, Sanchez, & Wilton, 2013). The goal of this dissertation study was to understand the lived experiences of racially ambiguous people of color. Background: The purpose of this study was comparing the mental health and Personality type between 10 to 13 year-old children, who live with father and those who lost their fathers.Methods: For the purpose of this study, 300 female students (150 live with fathers and 150 lost their fathers) were recruited from all the Tehran students in academic year 1392-93 by available and Multi Stage clustering sampling method. Without early intervention, at-risk students are in danger of not completing high school, of being unemployed, and of becoming involved with the legal system as a truant or by criminal acts. This study examined differences between a multicomponent school-based mental health (SBMH) intervention and a single-component SBMH intervention in terms of the locus of control (LOC), academic performance (GPA), and number of behavior referrals by school staff for a sample of at-risk youth.
