Marital infidelity discovery has been noted in the literature for traumatic emotional, behavioral, and psychological reactions in the injured spouse, but not extensively in terms of post-infidelity stress disorder. To that end, this cross-sectional quantitative anonymous online survey study explored marital infidelity, post-infidelity stress disorder and post-infidelity marital outcomes in 202 participants using certain frameworks, such as Glass’s traumatic aftershock and Ortman’s post-infidelity stress disorder. This multiple-baseline experimental design study examined the impact of trauma-informed Christian yoga (TICY) and Christian meditation (CM) on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and its symptoms for adult trauma survivors at Lifepath Counseling, a private mental health treatment practice. The theories guiding this study were Adlerian and trauma theory, based on the idea that any trauma is defined as extremely upsetting emotional event that overwhelms the individual's internal resources, potentially leading to long-lasting psychological symptoms of PTSD in some cases. This qualitative, phenomenological study sought to address clinicians understanding of the effectiveness of individual and group trauma therapy for Black male veterans. The investigation sought to expand previous research by conducting a more in-depth study on the efficacy of evidence-based trauma therapy practices for Black male veterans. The participants included in this study were nine clinicians that utilized evidence-based trauma therapy when treating Black male veterans that are students in Liberty University’s Behavioral Health Doctoral Programs. The association between substance use disorders (SUDs), childhood trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is becoming increasingly evident. There are faith-based programs available to assist women in overcoming addiction; however, there is presently no research examining the relationship between trauma, faith, and addiction among women in such programs as the Walter Hoving Home (WHH). Through a multiple regression analysis, this quantitative study evaluated the relationship between these three variables of interest among women in recovery. The problem was that there was a gap in the literature on providing female-specific interest in EMDR and exercise as treatments for PTSD. The purpose of this study was to describe the severity of PTSD symptoms, mental health stigma, and quality of life in female veterans, and furthermore, to understand the level of desire among these women to engage in exercise and EMDR for PTSD treatment.
