ABSTRACT

Purpose - The study's main objective was to find out the possibility of a paperless library and society with particular reference to Top 60 Universities from QS world University ranking 2021 and their library professionals. ICT knowledge and skills of these LIS professionals and evaluated their digital literacy skills was another aim of this study.

It is important for millennial mothers to have digital literacy. Millenials are known to have a tight relationship with digital media. Rather than fathers, mothers more often look for any information on child health issues. The study aimed to dig around mothers’ digital literacy practice which they did to obtain information from various online media, and also further understand the mothers’ comprehension on child disease and health issues. Smartphones are regular classroom accessories. Educators should work with children to understand the capacity of smartphones for learning and civic engagement, rather than being a classroom distraction. This research supports a collaborative project the authors engaged in with students in two states to discover what the perception of smartphone use was by students and teachers. One element of this project included students producing YouTube style tutorials on the educational use of mobile apps. The authors explored smartphone use in the classroom. Student created products correlated to technology trends in K-12 education and their relationship with state by state demographic data.
