Also contains a watercolor illustration of a three-masted square-topsail schooner at the very beginning of the journal, presumably of a Great Lakes vessel.

The vessel sailed out of Cape Porpoise (Me.), and the log includes a handwritten Oath of Master at the end of the Journal taken at the U.S. Custom House, Kennebunk.
