Exercise Prescription In Patient With Different Complications Of Leukemia: Recommendations For Clinical Practice, Yanzhong Chen

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Common treatment of leukemia will have side effects on nerve function, affecting the patient's physical function, which makes patients often accompanied by infection, bone and joint pain, fatigue and other symptoms. Exercise can improve the level of body function, enable patients to tolerate stronger chemotherapy during treatment, help improve the survival rate and recovery chances of patients, and has been used as an effective means to promote recovery. Recommendations for leukemia and exercise have been primarily based on the results of existing relevant studies. Transgender athletes have a long and complicated history in relation to the sports they exist within and the governing bodies that surround them. As well, their unique relationship to their gender identity, their teammates, and to their sport, is oftentimes strained. Major sporting organizations such as the International Olympic Committee or FINA have often been at the centre of controversy with transgender participation policies that lack the needed elements of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

A Critical Review Of Horse-Related Risk: A Research Agenda For Safer Mounts, Riders And Equestrian Cultures, Kirrilly Thompson, Paul Mcgreevy, Phil Mcmanus

While the importance of improving horse-related safety seems self-evident, no comprehensive study into understanding or reducing horse-related risk has been undertaken. In this paper, we discuss four dimensions of horse-related risk: the risk itself, the horse, the rider and the culture in which equestrian activities takes place. We identify how the ways in which risk is constructed in each dimension affects the applicability of four basic risk management options of avoidance, transference, mitigation and acceptance.
