The purpose of this study was to identify problem areas in second families as compared to first families.

A questionnaire was sent to 31 first married wives and 20 second married wives. Both groups had children living in the home.

The first 19 questions focused on parent-child, and husband-wife relations. Respondents were asked to indicate their feelings on a four-point Lichert-type scale of strongly agree, agree, disagree, or strongly disagree.

The next section, which was included for other research purposes, asked respondents how prepared they felt for this current marriage.

The Problems Of Generating Sufficient Revenue In A Rapidly Growing Small Community, Jeffery L. Memmott

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of rapid growth on the various revenue and expenditure categories at the local level. A model is presented to project local revenues and expenditures based upon projected per capita income, population, and average daily attendance. The model is based upon previous models from a review of the literature with modification and additions by the author. Revenues and expenditures are estimated simultaneously reflecting the budgetary process at the local level.

Coefficients in the model are estimated using sample data from Duchesne and Uintah counties. These coefficients are then used to project …

The problems and dissatisfactions experienced by thirty Ute Indian families as they relocated into new federally subsided homes were studied. A researcher administered interview guid was developed which produced data that could be analyzed using descriptive statistics. Four recommendations to improve the relocation process in future housing projects were framed.

In this paper are discussed, first, the unique problems facing the teacher who finds himself teaching technical English. Second, ways in which that teacher can prepare himself to most effectively deal with these problems (used here in the sense of tasks to be mastered) are offered, together with practical strategies for establishing and maintaining his professional and emotional equilibrium. Finally, specific suggestions are made for presenting technical terminology to ESL students, as well as improving their general English language proficiency.

Less than a century ago most primary functions of life centered in the family. One by one many of these functions have moved out of the home into the factory, the school, the church and the community. In the loss of functions which held the family together as a unit, disintegration set in and numerous evidences of family disorganization began to appear. Many people today, cognizant of the role which the family still plays in implementing personalities and in sustaining social stability, are nevertheless deeply concerned with increasing evidences of family disorganization.
