The primary purpose of this project is to improve and enhance pedestrian facilities along University Drive from College Main to 700 feet (ft) east of College Avenue (2,871 linear ft, 0.544 mile). The improvements include new traffic signals, sidewalks, turn lanes, drainage and utility adjustments, and hardscaping. Investigation included excavation of 919 shovel tests and 80 test trenches, and cutbank inspections, including portions of previously recorded Sites 41FB190, 41FB191, 41FB192, 41FB280 and 41FB281.

The park location is north of Loop 1604 and just west of U.S. Highway 281. The full park development will cover about 204 acres. The western 84 acres of this were included in lands surveyed in 2017 for the Classen-Steubing Master Development Project, leaving 120 acres to be covered by this survey.

These improvements consisted of construction of walls on the north, south, and west sides of the building to protect the structure from flooding episodes due to road surface run off. These walls are approximately 1,016 feet (ft) (310 meters [m]) in total length, 1 ft (0.30 m) in width, and 3 ft (1 m) in depth.
