This survey was initiated to explore the perceptions and daily practices of Applied behavior Analytic ABA) by educators supporting exceptional learners in public and private school settings in Pennsylvania. This survey explores the degree to which educators are trained, feel confident in and actually carry out a range evidenced based practices following an ABA approach. Results are also presented in regards to barriers that educators feel limit the delivery of ABA based approaches and undermine the fidelity of interventions once introduced in their professional settings.

Behavioral health issues among youth and young adults are often misunderstood by the youth, and well as adults in the youth's life. Healthy Transitions provides a model for promoting youth-driven services, and leadership opportunities. These opportunities help shape recovery practices for youth with behavioral health issues, including mental illness, addiction, and co-occurring disorders. This provides a peer voice by which practitioners can better understand the impact of mental illness and addiction on youth, and initiate practice strategies that attune to the unique cultural identity of youth. The intended audience is anyone working with youth and young adults.

The Linguistic and Sociological Dimensions of the Illusive Concept of Jamʿ

Unlike ijmāʿ, which means consensus, jamʿ refers to mere collection, gathering or grouping. In other words, if ijmāʿ is grounded in reason, indicates a choice between two opposites, and represents a reified construction, jamʿ, on the contrary, avoids reason, (con) fuses opposites, and survives on ambiguity. Jamʿ neither dialectically integrates opposites, nor post-modernly juxtaposes them as collage. The secret of jamʿ is an epistemology of truth that is never complete, and always mixed with falsehood. In Fall 2013, academic librarians at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) set out to develop their own instructional assessment test bank to evaluate library program effectiveness, improve the student learning experience and determine if library services were effectively developing information literacy skills in learners. Using the Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education (2000) adopted by ACRL in conjunction with their own information literacy plan, they focused on four critical competency areas: information access points, search tool selection, library website utilization, and classification schemes.

Endorsed, in 2008 by the Library & Information Resources Committee, comprised of teaching faculty, these objectives are aimed at specific learning outcomes for the First Year Seminar, writing composition, and discipline specific courses.
