Open Educational Resources
This OER contains the materials to adapt 'The Cost of Research' display created as part of Chester Fritz Library's programming for the 2021 Open Access Week. It demonstrates how much it would cost a reader without access to institutional resources to obtain the research underlying a single short academic article. It also looks at how much it would cost to flip those same resources to open access based off their publishers' current APC charges. This display could best be used as part of educational programming focusing on the economics of scholarly publishing.

In the spring of 2021, the Tredway Library at Augustana College (Rock Island, IL) implemented an audit of the library's print book collection to see if there were gaps in representation of the voices of authors of differing races/ ethnicities; genders; or sexual orientations. With the results of this audit, Augustana librarians now have a better understanding of which voices and perspectives are missing and/or underrepresented in the print collection. This toolkit is intended to assist other libraries / information organizations in undertaking similar diversity audits of their own.
The authors now have an article on this topic, available at: …

Greater Than the Sum of Our Parts: Building Support for OER from Existing Services on Campus Matt Ruen, Grand Valley State University Libraries At Grand Valley State University, the Libraries and several campus partners--including campus IT and offices that support faculty research and effective teaching--have come together to provide support for the creation and adoption of Open Educational Resources (OER) on our campus.
