Role Of Rescue 1122 In Wildlife Welfare In Punjab, Pakistan, Muhammad Sajid Rana, Fakhar -I-Abbas, Fakhra Nazir, Kainaat William

Rescue 1122 emergency services in Punjab (Pakistan) also responds to calls when residents feel threatened from wild animals. Emergency calls received between August 2015 and July 2016 recorded 16 arthropod, 25 mammal, 156 bird, 816 reptile and 264 un-identified cases from different parts of the Punjab, which were safely handled and in majority of cases animals were safely released back in nature.

As the dominant public management paradigm today, performance measurement and management systems are fundamental to increasing efficiency, accountability, and service quality in the public sector. Thanks to fifteen community volunteers who worked, debated, and brainstormed on the Dayton Together Charter Development Committee, we are releasing a draft charter—the Dayton Metro government. Our model is a Council-Manager government, incorporating professional management that has served our communities well for a century. It includes a mayor voted on by all 535,000 residents, one at-large countywide council seat, and 9 geographic districts, with the mission of bringing the community together to tackle shared opportunities and challenges.

The three education partners—Columbus State Community College, Stark State College, and the Washington County Career Center—working on the 2011-2015 Ohio H-1B Technical Skills Training Grant (TST) completed a post-program evaluation centered on the workforce development model implemented by their respective organizations. This report discusses the successes, challenges, and future sustainability of the programs, as experienced by each educational partner. The information generated from this evaluation, along with best practice research in workforce training programs, may inform future sector strategy training programs. The best practice research is included in the Appendix.

The percentage of contract dollars awarded to small businesses at DoD increased from just over 16% to just over 19%, but the actual dollars only changed by approximately 10%. The number of small business contract actions at DoD fell by nearly 70% yet the value of those contract actions rose by nearly 290%. As the data shows, fewer small companies are winning contracts, but the contracts won are larger in dollar amount.

The following report analyzes answers to pre- and post-tests from care providers regarding asthma knowledge and opinions of asthma. These care providers attended a seminar on asthma sponsored through the American Lung Association with ThinkTV with the purpose of helping care providers better understand the various aspects of dealing with children who have asthma. Seminars were held from July 1st, 2014 through June 30, 2015. There were 426 participants who completed the pre- and post-surveys. Not all participants answered every question. In spring of 2015, the Central Ohio region sponsored two surveys, conducted by APRI, to generate data pertaining to K-12 school-business partnerships:

  • All 67 Superintendents in Central Ohio were invited to participate in the survey – 24 responded
  • The business survey was distributed to all private businesses in the advanced manufacturing, Information Technologies, logistics, and health care industries throughout Central Ohio.
  • The survey yielded over 300 business responses. Throughout these replies, several themes emerged indicating critical differences in partnership perceptions and implementations.
  • The two sectors identify similar tools to enhance partnerships.
