Throughout academia, there lacks an existence of a commonly utilized multicomponent and interdisciplinary approach in understanding our outside world. This thesis provides an analysis of the current state of interdisciplinarity and the need to develop interdisciplinary theory. Through this effort, the researcher utilizes the health belief model as a framework that is severely limited in applicable scope due to its constructs. Contrastingly, systems theory and game theory are validated as examples of theories with an interdisciplinary nature. Book banning or challenging is a complex issue, in which a person takes issue with a book in the library‟s collection, complains to the librarian, and sometimes demands that the book be removed from the collection entirely. Books for young adult audiences are especially at risk, and the reasons why these books are challenged or banned are numerous. By reading fifteen different young adult books from between the years of 1990 and 2016, the researchers performed a content analysis to look at the reasons why books may be challenged or banned. The amount of information in the world has grown exponentially in the last generation. Students often believe that growing up as digital natives means they have advanced information literacy skills. However, school librarians are not seeing evidence of this in their schools. The purpose of this study was to determine if secondary students overestimate their information literacy (IL) abilities, if relationships exist between IL self-efficacy and performance, and if grade level or self-efficacy level changes those relationships. En el presente estudio de caso se hizo una revisión bibliográfica de investigaciones con Caballo Criollo Colombiano primordialmente, realizadas en diferentes universidades del país. Con la necesidad de realizar una revisión de los diferentes trabajos hechos con el CCC, para que la Federación pueda determinar nuevas líneas de investigación en beneficio de la explotación equina nacional como actividad sustentable, puesto que existe una misma tendencia en el temario de muchas de estas investigaciones, efecto que las hace poco útiles con relación a campos poco abordados y temas no indagados lo suficiente.
