Health information activities essentially are geared towards raising people’s awareness on good health and holistic living, thereby reducing the risks of opportunistic illness. In this regard, a related health promotional activity was undertaken in four local communities in Southern Nigeria. The purpose was gingered by the compelling efforts made by various government bodies and NGOs to curb the scourging HIV/AIDS pandemic, particularly in local communities. This paper assesses the impact of “One Laptop Per Child Policy” on teaching and learning in basic schools in Ghana. Specifically, 500 students were randomly selected together with 10 information and communication technology (ICT) instructors in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Both questionnaire and in-depth interviews were used for gathering data. The data collected were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). Findings of the study showed that stringent criteria are used to assess the needs of students and in the distribution of the laptops. This study was conducted in seventeen Indian university Libraries to assess the familiarity and usage of cloud computing applications among Library and information Science professionals. The investigator collected responses from 56 number of LIS professionals working at 17 Indian University Libraries, through a structured questionnaire. Results revealed that the usage of cloud computing applications in library operation and services is not very significant. This article addresses the purpose, the organization, and results of an experimental credit-bearing upper division service-learning course at a Master’s granting university, entitled LIBR 397: The Digital Divide. In addition to reviewing collegiate efforts on teaching the Digital Divide within the United States, this article also provides an overview of the challenges and successes associated with teaching such a course. In light of a high HIV/AIDS prevalence rate among women in Zimbabwe, this study sought to assess the extent to which the Zimbabwe Women’s Resource Centre and Network (ZWRCN) was effective in disseminating HIV/AIDS information to combat the pandemic among women. Literature reviewed that in as much as information was crucial in the fight against HIV/AIDS; there are other strategies that should be employed in combating HIV/AIDS to complement information dissemination activities such as economic empowerment of women and promotion of gender equality.
