The organization of space through history is a difficult show in terms of research, but pleasant on the side of diachronic knowledge allowing knowledge of the present in order to be able to orient reflection towards the future. If in Morocco geography imposes and history disposes, local characteristics have then contributed to the organization of human groups throughout history. However, in the present time, it is the state institutions that organize the population within the units of territorial division, this is also contracted with competitive private activities in areas made by competition.

Contribution À L'Étude De La Marginalité Spatiale A Travers L’Analyse En Composantes Principales Cas De La Région Souss Massa, Mohamed Jadaoui, Lakbir Ouhajou, El Hassane Elmahdad, El Madani Mountasser

Dirassat

The study of socio-spatial disparities is one of the privileged areas of geographic research. It is based on a rich and evolving conceptual arsenal. In this sense, the notion of “marginality” is used to characterize a state of territorial “underdevelopment” that affects areas that are qualified as marginal, marginalized, peripheral, fragile, excluded, or even in crisis or delayed development, etc. These terms refer to paradigms such as the “centre/periphery” relationship. This article is therefore intended as a contribution to the debate on spatial marginality. This will be approached on the basis of the analysis of a set of indicators likely …

The article in question presents a comparative study of the demographic dividend in the light of the demographic change lived and the development system adopted in Morocco during the last five decades. The demographic transition in Morocco is at present in a very advanced phase following the impressive decline in the natural growth. This decline has had important repercussions on the population pyramid whose base has narrowed considerably. As well, the population, remaining still young, lives at the rhythm of the growth of categories in working age. In addition, the spatial movements of the Moroccan population are not made without …

Les Relations Ville-Port : Essai Bibliographique, Atmane Hnaka, El Mati Ouarmassi

Dirassat

This article is an essay of theoretical synthesis on the state of the art of research concerning port cities and city-port relations. Beyond a conceptual approach, the article deals with an analysis of the historical evolution of relations between ports and their cities through modeling work developed by economic and geographic researchers.

Research on city-port relations is more and more abundant, but it is generally focused on the phenomenon of dissociation between the port and its city and the morphological analysis of the mutations of the city-port interface: revitalization of waterfront. While the other forms of interaction between the port …

Dynamique Virtuelle Journalière Des Transports Maritimes Dans Le Détroit De Gibraltar Et Place De L’Afrique Dans L’Émergence Du Trafic Mondial, Mohamed Ben Attou

Dirassat

In order to integrate more rapidly into the globalized economy, the Strait of Gibraltar is a predominantly political economic device. With its port facilities Tanger-Med, Algeciras and Gibraltar, this device configures the global economy and maritime traffic in a context of vertical economic regulation where African platforms like Tangier Med, constitute a gateway for development but at the same time a puzzle in a chessboard. What place then for Africa world in the field of logistics and shipping? What regional integration can result from a race for the production of vertical capital wealth? These are the fundamental questions on which …

Characterizing Clustering Models Of High-Dimensional Remotely Sensed Data Using Subsampled Field-Subfield Spatial Cross-Validated Random Forests, Andrew B. Whetten Nov 2021

Characterizing Clustering Models Of High-Dimensional Remotely Sensed Data Using Subsampled Field-Subfield Spatial Cross-Validated Random Forests, Andrew B. Whetten

International Journal of Geospatial and Environmental Research

Clustering models are regularly used to construct meaningful groups of observations within complex datasets, and they are an exceptional tool for spatial exploratory analysis. The clusters detected in a recent spatio-temporal cluster analysis of leaf area index (LAI) in the Columbia River Basin (CRB) require further investigation since they are only derived using a single greenness metric. It is of great interest to further understand how greening indices can be used to determine separation of sites across an array of remotely sensed environmental attributes. In this prior work, there are highly localized minority clusters that were detected to be most …

Power-Sharing As The Key Of Secessionist Conflict Resolution In Developing Democratic Countries, Wasisto Raharjo Jati

Jurnal Politik

This article explains how power-sharing could determine conflict resolution in develo¬ping states, particularly in developing countries. This scheme offers a win-win solution between state actors and the separatist movements to curb conflict and initiate pe¬ace-building at the grassroots level. Using a quantitative analysis that employed data¬sets from Power-Sharing Event Dataset (PSED) and Implementation of Pacts Dataset (IMPACT), this article notably reveals two important findings. First, the most promising power-sharing schemes are territorial and political power-sharing. Furthermore, the preliminary talk about ideal power-sharing consensus between the state actors and rebel groups is important to determine the outcome of power-sharing policies. Finally, …

International Journal of Geospatial and Environmental Research

This study was designed to determine the slope changes on Dokdo Island, focusing on Seodo islet (slopes consisting of colluvial debris) and Dongdo islet (slopes consisting of large-scale tafoni). To do so, we obtained high-resolution 3D LiDAR data in May and November 2020 and calculated the changes in slope shape and volume over this period. Our results showed that during this time, approximately 136 m3 of colluvial debris was removed from the slopes of Seodo islet and a boulder that had separated from the massive tuff breccia migrated approximately 5 cm downslope. The major causes of such rapid changes …

The narrative provides a heretofore-absent foundation for Tukanoan affinity, revealing complications and nuance in Kotiria notions of alterity and the generative role of Desire in its transformation. It is a synthesis not from nature, but from poesis; not from trust, but from theft; not from …
